FAQ's

Why psychotherapy or counselling?

Because you will be in control. Our therapists work with a person-centred and trauma informed lens, therefore you can expect a compassionate and holistic approach to improving your situation.  We collaborate closely with our clients, assisting them to develop manageable coping strategies that work for them personally.

What will happen in the first session?

The first session is all about introductions where you get to know your therapist, the therapist gets to know you and what has brought you to counselling. Within this session the therapist will run you through the confidentiality agreement, you can ask questions and discuss any expectations you may have regarding therapy.

Where do I book my first session?

You can book your first session through the website or contact Sogoll on 0410 333 332.

Will my sessions be online?

All sessions will be conducted online on a platform you are comfortable with, this can be Zoom, FaceTime or WhatsApp. In case a Face2Face session is requested or required, this will be determined with each client individually and will be subject to terms.

How many sessions will I need?

Every individual has different needs and preferences, the number of sessions is determined by these requirements. However, we do recommend fortnightly sessions at the start of your therapy sessions to build trust and momentum with your therapist. Once you believe you are on your way to achieving your goals, you can scale back and assess your needs with your therapist.

Will I get money back for my sessions through Medicare?

We do not offer Medicare rebates.
